Blood Elves racial traits in PVP... Blood Elves were introduced as a playable race in the first expansion of World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade. It looks like Blizzard had PVP in mind when they designed the racial traits for Blood Elves, as they have some very useful things that will make your life easier:

1. Arcane Torrent

This is a great ability that will silence all enemies within 8 yards for 2 seconds. All classes can benefit from it, but especially melee classes as they need counterspelling the most in PVP. The ability will also give the Blood Elf 5+1/Level Mana restored per Mana Tap charge currently on the Blood Elf.

2. Mana Tap

Reduces target's mana by 51 and charges the Blood Elf with Arcane Energy for 10 min. It stacks 3 times, which is great, good to use at full with Arcane Torrent.

3. Magic Ressistance

All magic resistances of Blood Elves are increased by 5.

As you can see, Blood Elves have some nice traits which are very useful in PVP for melee classes. All traits are especially targeted against magic damage and casters, which is the greatest damage in World of Warcraft PVP encounters. So this is a number one class if you are planning to go for a melee aproach in PVP (that is from a racial traits point of view).
